The Gray and Rainy Season

It is now the 15th of February. If my math is correct, we've had one hundred and thirty seven days of rain since January 1st. That's 2019, just for specificity.

Well, it seems like it. And I like gray and rainy days; several in a row can give that stay-home, cloistering feeling, when it is wonderful to sit with hot tea, thick socks, a soft wool throw, feet on an ottoman and a new book in hand. I know, I know, we could turn the heat up. But 57 degrees seems pretty warm to me, especially all bundled up like I am.

I've also always said, several gray and rainy days are great for business! Yes, I'm a therapist. Yes, that's partially demented. Well, both the 'me-being-a-therapist' and my humorist's view.

Several reasons for loving gray and rainy. But too much of a good thing is too much. And this seems way too much! Though there's not much I can do about it; as I suggest to patients, just ride the wave and find ways to make good out of it--like, riding waves down my street. No beach surf needed here, it's Appalachian Mountain surfing for me!

I hope everyone (all three of you reading my blog, and that includes me) is staying dry, discovering different forms of sunshine, getting out when Sol is, and generally cheering yourself up.

Happy Love Recovery day!
